Perhaps no one was more shocked that Florida mother Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter than Nancy Grace.
Grace railed against the 25-year-old Anthony, whom she nicknamed “Tot Mom.” “It’s tough when you think about Caylee and you think about this evidence and you think about all those days that Tot Mom went about partying as if Caylee had never existed,” she said. Grace added, “the devil is dancing tonight.”
The testimony and presentation of evidence is over in the Casey Anthony trial, and the jury finally began deliberating the case Monday. “Tot mom” has realized the jury now holds her fate in their hands and burst into tears after proceedings ended, along with one of her attorneys, when the realization hit her, according to Nancy Grace.
Casey Anthony is accused of killing her toddler daughter, Caylee Anthony, 2, in the summer of 2008 by knocking her out with chloroform and suffocating her with duct tape. Her lawyers argue that’s not what happened, claiming Caylee died accidentally by drowning in the Anthony family’s backyard pool. They claim she conspired with her father, George Anthony to cover up the tragic accident.
